Tournament Guidelines

FrontierFest will be here soon. We are so excited that you will be coming to Abilene---the Friendly Frontier. We will have a western theme and hopefully be the friendliest tournament you have ever attended.
Although many of you are attending from other regions, this is a North Texas Region Tournament and must be run using NTR regulations:
• All R2’s must be a certified adult (must have attended a R2 clinic)
• All scorekeepers must be certified (attended a clinic)
• All line judges must wear shoes with backs (no crocs, flipflops, etc) You may exchange line judges between sets—but all line judges must attend the pregame conference with the R1.
• Please take your reffing assignment seriously and report to the referee during warm-ups, not match time.
• Pool play will be 2 sets to 25. No cap.
• Bracket Play—best of 3. 3rd set to 15. No cap.
• Libero is NOT allowed to serve and must have a sharply contrasting jersey.
• Tie breaking procedures will follow USA guidelines Rulebook pp 177-180 and will be posted at sites.
• Be sure and check with court manager before leaving Saturday site---you may be playing at a different location on Sunday.
Playing Sites:
• There is a $5 tournament fee for unlimited entry/exit or a $3 daily fee for all non-rostered personnel.
• No outside food/drink allowed inside gyms. Concessions available.
• Incredible hospitality rooms for refs and coaches.
• No chairs allowed (except at McM court 3 on Sunday)
• No pets allowed inside gyms
• No loose water bottles allowed on courts. You may bring your own container.
• No food, drinks, cell phones, ipods, etc allowed on scoretable or courts. (Water only)
• Please dispose of all trash and keep facilities clean
• There will NOT be a trainer at any site—please bring your own first aid supplies—ice will be available
• Pools will be listed on website. Brackets will be posted at playing sites.
